Avon's Magdalena Ferreira Recognized on Ad Age's Inaugural Women to Watch Mexico List

Magdalena Ferreira, Sales Vice-president Avon North Latin America, was named one of Ad Age magazine’s Women to Watch 2015. This was the first year Ad Age recognized Women to Watch in Mexico, honoring 14 “outstanding” executives who are making a mark in media, marketing and advertising.
Ferreira says women in Latin America “are still on a journey searching for female executive role models.” She adds that these role models can help society evolve and inspire future generations.
The awards ceremony took place at Mexico City’s Hacienda de Los Morales restaurant, a former 17th century silkworm plantation! Honorees spoke about early-career challenges when men dominated the marketing and advertising industries. They also discussed ways to support and motivate women and the importance of involving men in those efforts.
Ad Age’s Women to Watch started in the U.S. in 1997. The events also now take place in Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, in addition to Mexico. Next year, Ad Age will launch Women to Watch Europe.
