Avon’s first product was the Little Dot Perfume Set, which included five single-note fragrances – White Rose, Lily of the Valley, Violet, Heliotrope and Hyacinth.

Mrs. P.F.E. Albee, Avon's first Representative

The 50-year-old wife and mother of two was the company’s first Representative and became known as the “Mother of the California Perfume Company,” as Avon was first called.

David H. McConnell

Bookseller David H. McConnell founded the company in 1886.
